OLYMPIA, WA – A joint memorial requesting to name Highway 395 the “Thomas S. ‘Tom’ Foley Memorial Highway” has won approval by the Washington State Senate.  The measure was sponsored by Representative Marcus Riccelli (D-Spokane).

“Speaker Foley strongly believed that maintaining and improving our transportation infrastructure meant safer and more efficient travel. He knew good roads and highways were essential for our state’s future,” Riccelli says. “Many of the communities along the 395 corridor have already passed their own resolutions naming this highway in his honor.”
